Kate Burns, M.F.S.
Kate Burns joined the University of Kansas in 2017 as an EEO/Title IX Investigator and Training Coordinator with the Office of Institutional Opportunity & Access. In that role she is responsible for investigating reported violations of the University’s harassment and discrimination policies and also for coordinating trainings for students, staff, and faculty on various topics such as bystander intervention, unconscious bias, harassment, and discrimination. Prior to joining the University of Kansas, Kate served as a juvenile diversion coordinator, parole officer, medical investigator, and director of human resources. She earned her Bachelor of Psychology in 2009 and Master of Forensic Science in 2011 from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
